Campaign objectives

Support families with children in vulnerable situations who have been most seriously affected by the Covid-19 crisis.

Description

In front of the health crisis caused by the advance of the Covid-19 virus, Aldeas Infantiles SOS is turning to guarantee the physical and emotional well-being of the 6,072 children and young people it accompanies in Spain and their families.

To do this, it has implemented urgent measures to face the health crisis, designing immediate action plans and establishing the contingency protocols necessary to face any eventuality. All of this, following the recommendations of the health authorities. In addition, it also has different prevention programs in Spain, in which it offers support to families at risk so that they can improve their living conditions and take better care of their children.

For families at risk, Aldeas' professionals are a fundamental part of their day-to-day life and a key piece for them to succeed. On a daily basis, the educators follow up on a family by family basis, to know their situation, what needs they have, provide resources to prevent the stress of confinement from causing situations of abuse or even abandonment; and in some cases, in which the economic situation has been greatly affected, they are also supported financially so that they can cope with this situation.

The resources needed to continue caring for and supporting these children, youth and their families are:
